3 IDIOTS (were not idiots after all)

I've never watched a Bollywood movie before. Probably because it is not widely available in the country and also because I'm not familiar with the actors (yes, I find it easier to go through the whole movie if I know their names).

When my friend told me about this top grossing comedy film in India, I was kinda reluctant to watch it at first coz I don't know what to expect. Yet again, curiosity got the better of me. Besides, I watched Korean, Thai and French movie for the past week so why not try Hindi (it's Hindi, right?) this time.

3 Idiots. Fom the title itself, you're sure to guess that's indeed comic. Well thanks to subtitles I was able to enjoy and understand the whole story fully well. You just have to read fast coz the lines will fade out in a second haha! But some lines are in English.

The movie begins with Farhan and Raju's journey in search of their lost friend Rancho, whom they haven't heard a word from after they graduated in College some 10 years ago. Then enter flashbacks of those good old days when they were still striving engineering students. It depicts the "craziness" of the engineering world, the prayers uttered and promises said to gods just to PASS the subject, their adventures and their only villain - the College Director a.k.a Virus.

Beneath the hilarious scenes and funny lines is an epic tale of friendship who have stood the test of time. First half of the movie I was laughing hard. Favorite funny scenes? The wedding, the speech during the teacher's day, their first day at school and the classroom scenes, one where the professor asked for the definition of Machine. I can't contain my laughter when their classmate literally recited the definition, word for word, memorized the textbook including 'etc.' hahaha! I remembered a college classmate who was a trying-hard-smart-ass.

Although the second half was not as hilarious as the beginning, it will make you contemplate on the movie's message. Each character have their own issues that they must face head on. There were crossroads and detours. But Rancho summed it up : "Make your passion your profession and success will chase you - pants down."

What I like about the movie is the witty humor. It was natural and heartwarming. The cast were really good and the plot superb. It's hard to be entertained nowadays without taking on nonsense, offensive, toilet humor. I'd say this is one of the best comedy film I've seen.

The Damon Humor

Probably the only TV show that had me so hooked (okay after Charmed and Prison Break) is Vampire Diaries. I have always loved vampire tales. Be it in movies (Underworld -seen them all) and books (Twilight - read them all). There's something about vampires that make their story all the more intriguing and charming.

Anyway, what makes this show so addictive? I could do a little rundown of the story in a heartbeat, the compelling twists in the plot plus the complex characters - but... it all boils into one thing - DAMON SALVATORE.

Ooppss! Team DAMON here! Sorry Stefan fans... This is my blog so I can pretty much profess my love for Damon Salvatore (Ian Sommerhalder).

He is smoldering hot. Gorgeous. His bad ass attitude is sooo sexy. His character keeps me eager to watch every single episode since Season 1.

I've never admired any bad guy in any movie - except for this eternal stud.

Damon is famous for his one liners. His funny, witty quotes are hard to match. There's something with the way he delivers his lines, the way he does the "eye" thing, his brows, his facial expression - incredibly Damon.

Whenever Damon talks I'm all ears. And I take note some of his famous lines.

Movies, Movies, Movies and ... Movies!

Guess what?

I'm back in the movie game!!! Hahaha.

Been awhile since the last time I did a sort of "movie review" if you can call it that one.

Well this time, I'm not only gonna pick those that I like. I will also comment on movies which I think are either stupid or REAAALLY stupid.

Anyway, just a disclaimer. This is not a review. Just my thoughts and opinion on the films I've watched in the span of 2 weeks.

First off, the crazy, hilarious stuff which I liiiiike! Recommended!

1. Hot Tub Time Machine (John Cusack)
Released last year, this movie is about, well, you guessed it - going back in time. A story of 3 friends who are not doing well in present life decided to bond and re-live their younger days. Went back to town where they used to hang out, stayed at the same hotel, same room and party on the same hot tub. Apparently, they spilled drink on somewhat electrically charged button of the tub and things just went odd. Everything seemed normal when they woke up the following morning except that everyone in sight is wearing warmers, guys in faded jeans, girls in colored, tight-fitting...you know the 80s fashion. Yes, they're back in 1986!

The fun begins when they start doing the exact same thing they did 24 years ago - it's their only ticket to the present. But despite putting a lot of effort to re-live their wild teenage life, strange things happen that would seem to implicate their "future" life.

I personally enjoyed this movie. If you're on for a laugh trip, this should be on your list.

2. Just go with it (Adam Sandler & Jennifer Aniston)
A comedy/lovestory about a plastic surgeon (Sandler) who pretends to be married. He believes that girls are more attracted to married men and so he goes on pretending until he met a girl who doesn't want to commit to a married man. Realizing the flaw in his strategy, he asked her assistant (Aniston) to pretend as her ex-wife.

Complications start to arise as Sandler tries to unloose every string in his lies.

3. Grown-ups (Adam Sandler)
I hope I'm not making it obvious that I've been watching a lot of Sandler's film lately. :) This one's funny too. Will make you appreciate of your childhood.

4. Here comes the bride (Tagalog film)
That's right! A corny title for a very funny movie. Calling it funny is an understatement actually. The cast, story line and plot is superb. I watched this last Sunday (while the whole nation is waiting for the Pacquaio - Mosley fight) and I still can't get over with how hilarious it was. I was laughing from beginning 'til end. Not only it was directed remarkably, the lines are witty and this movie doesn't take on toilet humor.

Filipino film makers have a lot to learn on this one.

5. First Love (A little thing called love)
This is a thai movie. I’m multi-lingual. I can read and understand thai. Actually, there's an English subtitle so better download a VLC player if you wanna watch this.

The story revolves around a 14 year-old girl named Nam. (Yes that's her name. Not the thing you say when you eat something delicious - nam, nam, nam, nam, nam....) Nam is plainly simple, unattractive, dark colored skin girl. Simply put, she is NOT pretty. She's in love with an older guy in grade 10 named Shone who is hot, gorgeous and drop-dead-gorgeous. Wait, did I just say gorgeous twice? Damn yes! He's really gorgeous that I watched the movie twice hahaha! I know you hate spoilers so I'll just shut up.

I got so caught up with this movie. It will definitely remind you of your high school crushes, the friends you made in high school, the crazy things you do just to get HIS attention and how your friends support you all the way.

There was a part in the movie where I cried coz I suddenly remembered my friends and I missed them. I could see a part of me in Nam's. I can laugh with her silliness. I can identify with her innocence, on how she tried making herself pretty by putting on whitening products and buying how-to-get-the-guy-of-your-dreams kind of book.

This movie is just so nice and pretty. You better watch it!


Next, the "okay" movies.

1. No strings attached (Ashton Kutcher & Natalie Portman)
Reading from the title I'm sure you know that this is about friends with benefits. And since when did Ashton became a porn star? A year ago I watched his movie "Spread" and I can't believe that that movie is all about f****ng.

This movie is the tamer version. Not too many pumping scenes and yeah, he's got a nice butt. ;-))

2. Big Momma's Like Father Like Son
Hmmm...I'd say this movie is good enough to keep me entertained for 1hour and 50minutes.


Lastly, the "stupid" movies.

Stupid movies can be sometimes entertaining. But not these :

1. Scream 4
Really. I was just ranting about this in twitter. The most stupid horror movie of all time! I mean, come on! The scenes from 1 to 4 are all just... the same! Can't they think of anything better? Honestly, they're leveraging on how gross the victims got butchered.

2. Get him to the Greeks
This is eww... Very gross and offensive. So full of racial humor and penis joke.

Okay, I have to admit.....

I love Sandra Bullock!

Of all of Hollywood's shining stars, I have most respect and appreciation on her. She's one actress who can certainly pull off any types of role. She can be crazy or she can be tough. She can be dramatic or borderline villain. She's just fantastic!

I watched her burgeon into the movie industry. I've seen her as the lovestruck Lucy crushing on a stranger in While You Were Sleeping. I admired her being chic, fab and armed in Miss Congeniality and her tough role in The Blind Side which won her a double Best Actress.

Last night I get to watch All About Steve. I know I'm kinda late coz it's been a year since that movie was released, yet Bradley Cooper is in it so I couldn't miss it for the whole damn world.

As expected Sandra did well on her role as Crossword puzzle creator, who's brilliance made her a socially awkward human being with zero interest in dating until he met the hot, cable news crew - Steve.

The movie was a bit hilarious and she looks cute in that red boots which she wore the whole time. I just don't like her hair. I preferred her donning that sleek brunette look just like in The Proposal.

Mary (Sandra) is soooo talkative that most people around find it annoying. She's a walking encyclopedia. She'll give trivia even if you don't ask her to. She uses vocabulary that would make your mouth wide open because either it's too deep to comprehend or a normal human being wouldn't use such a word. Like would you say "vamoose" instead of "let's go"?

This is one movie where I didn't get to predict the ending. I thought Steve will fall in love with her after she fell into that mine shaft while chasing after him. I was wrong.

The movie talks about the choices we make in life and how we see life in general. That life is like a crossword puzzle. Some days are easy that you would finish answering them in an instant. While some days are hard that you just can't figure out the clue and you want to stop and give up. But once you stop for awhile and ponder, you actually know the answer. It's all about patience, perseverance, setting goals and getting it done.

Don't have work today coz today is the inauguration of our 15th President. I hate to say this but... *sarcastic tone* thanks Noynoy for this special non-working holiday. You know I did not vote for you because I relinquished my right to suffrage. But even if I did participate, I still would NOT be voting for you! So goodluck to your administration and most especially to us filipinos...

Anyhoo, even if I don't have work today I got out of bed early because my body clock is used to geeting up early on weekdays. Plans for today??? Hmmmm.... No laundry pleassseeeeee.... I'll save it for the weekend. I might go to the mall this afternoon to watch Eclipse. I'm not pretty sure if it's showing today but if I remember it correctly, it's supposed to be shown on the 30th of this month, which is today.

Actually, I'm no longer excited to see that movie as opposed to what I've been feeling 3 months ago. Blame Vampire Diaries for that. I really loved that series. Can't wait for season 2 which is gonna be on September. But of course, I don't wanna miss Edward Cullen for the world. And Eclipse for me, is the best series in the Twilight Saga. So I'm  pretty sure the queue at the theater will be as long as the longest line you could ever imagine. Last year when I watched New Moon on the first day, I waited 45 minutes in line. Unminding the uncomfortable, exhausting feeling on my feet all for the love of Edward Cullen. Damn stupid me!

If my lazy other self will come to life, I might stay at home. Got 2 books to read and plenty of movies to watch anyway...

What I Need To Know In Life I Learned In Movies

Animated films to be exact.

As a child, I wasn't brought up watching cartoons or animated movies. I grew up with basketball, boxing, wrestling and action films on the boob tube. My only chance to watch a non-violent movie is when my father is not in the mood to watch Hulk Hogan slams Undertaker.

It's when I grew older when I began to appreciate animated films in their wondrous cinematography and dazzling cinema effects. There is something magical in it that entice both young and old to take on its wild, wind in your hair adventure.

Apart from the tummy-aching laughs, most animated movies I've seen pitched some moral lessons I learn to value over the years.

Last Saturday (my usual movie day) I watched How To Train Your Dragon in DVD. I'm not sure if that movie has been released here in the Philippines. Coz if it was, and I wasn't able to catch, then I really hate myself for missing it on 3D.

It all started in a village lived by sturdy, ass-kicking Vikings and a nerdy kid named Hiccup. They're at war, pretty much all the time, with fire-spitting dragons who raid their homes, snatch their livestock and leave anything in sight on fire.

Hiccup is the son of a Viking leader who has no fervor in slaying dragons. When he found a wounded dragon in the woods, whom he named Toothless afterwards, he befriended it, healed it, fed it and learned to fly with it.

The movie is packed with terrific flying sequences. It serves a  moral lesson that revolves around ignorance, of the two species that truly hate each other without knowing fully why. It is a heartwarming story of courage, friendship, overcoming ignorance and hatred. It is about peace, of how two different species come together. 

One thing I like about this film is that it captures your imagination and makes you feel whatever you're feeling. But in the end, it gives you a happy glow and makes you delightfully satisfied.

Come Sunday....

After debating over Shrek or Prince of Persia, I finally came to a concerted decision...

Shrek!

Yes. Shrek, Donkey, Puss in Boots win all the time. I just loooove this trio that I can't trade the final chapter for Prince of Persia or Robinhood.

 In this sequel, Shrek is feeling bored and over domesticated. He misses his roar, those times when the villagers were afraid of him, those mud-dipping and all those ogre mojo stuff.

So he signed a deal with Rumpelstiltskin for a day to become a real ogre. As expected, the pact goes awry and Shrek is confronted with what life would be in Far Far Away if he had never existed.

Okay.

I'm not going to talk about moral of the story here. I just figured that ogres too go through midlife or quarterlife crisis like most of us do hahaha! Seriously, there are times when we silently wished we could have taken a different turn and wondered what life would like be. Sometimes we felt trapped and bored in our present situation that we wished to go back to those times when everything in the world makes sense (the last 6 words I got from the movie).

And when we get that chance to go in that direction, to do what we thought we like to do, to finally have that moment we've been waiting for... Bang! It hit us. It hit us like roaring thunder that everything we wanted to have, everything we wanted to feel was there all along. We already have it but we refuse to see. We refuse to acknowledge coz we keep on looking back thus we fail to value what is right there in front of us. It would take a single twist of fate before we come to realize that we are complete.

We just have to learn to be grateful. Welcome change like welcoming a brand new day. Appreciation is all it takes.

The movie was not after all uber hilarious unlike the previous sequels. But somewhere in the twisted life of the characters you can see a faint reflection of yourself.

How Long Should You Wait?

A friend of mine who knows darn well about my love for dogs handed me a copy of Hachiko : A Dog's Story. Maybe most of you have seen the film already as it was released last year, so you kinda know the whole story pretty much. It's actually a  remake of the 1987 Japanese film Hachikō Monogatari, the true story of Hachiko, an Akita dog who showed immense faithfulness and loyalty to his master.

I didn't watch it right away as I tend to avoid movies where dog dies in the end (I've said that already in my previous post). I set it aside, laying on the table for several weeks until my curiosity could no longer hold it. I finally watched last night and my friend was right. It was a beautiful story of undying love.

Hachi was owned by Parker, a university professor. Whenever Parker left for work, Hachi would accompany him to the train station and will come back in the afternoon to meet him. Then one day Parker suffered a stroke at the university and died. Hachi kept on waiting at his usual spot and returns to that place every single day to wait.

I was fascinated and moved by Hachi's loyalty. I wonder how in the world did he manage to wait for his master's return for nine years. He didn't realize his master was gone, he patiently and expectantly waited outside the train station, come rain come shine searching for his master's face among the crowd. It was so sad and frustrating. I wonder if at that time, those commuters who saw him felt a pinch in their heart. Did someone pat him on the back? Did they talk to him? Told him that his master is never coming back? I wonder if he would've understand. If he would've wavered his loyalty. Or would he continue to stand his ground?

                                             It really pains me to see Hachiko like this...  

There's got to be tremendous love for someone to patiently wait even if the world tells you to stop.  There's got to be something more than sheer determination to sit in there even if the odds of waiting in vain is clear.

How long should you wait?

For a love lost.

For a broken heart to heal.

For the perfect time...

To accomplish a plan.

To make a career move.

To reach our goals.

To tell someone you love.

To do what you have to do.

To go where you want to be.

There's no formula as for the time-being. It's about when you learn to let go and learn to take another step forward.

There's no perfect timing rather than yearning to move forward.

Personally, I don't like to wait. I hate just sitting, letting time pass you by. But if there's one thing I like about waiting, it's that it shows how much you're willing to sacrifice for something or someone you believe is worth your time. Waiting is selfless. Aside from it takes too much love for you to carry on, you learn to forego the most precious thing that matters to everyone - TIME.

Hachi's legendary devotion didn't go unnoticed. He made such a great impression putting him in national sensation after his story was published consequently making him an iconic symbol for loyalty.

To this day a bronze statue in his likeness is seen at the train station at the exact place he used to sit and wait. An annual solemn ceremony is also held every April 8 in honor of his remembrance.

Cool dog huh?! If I would have a chance to visit Japan in the offing, I would swing by this place, take a photo with his statue and be part of this rare, one of a kind heroic story.

Another Vampire craze

Vampire.
Werewolves.
Witches.
Supernatural powers.

I don’t know why most people are so into it. 

When 2008 saw the coming of the most popular and irresistible vampire of all time, Edward Cullen, I found those tales of creatures with fang and blood-shot eyes enchanting. Just so you know, I got so hooked with the Twilight saga that I watched it more than once and read the entire four books (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn) with so much passion. But to tell you frankly, if it weren’t for Edward Cullen’s character, I’m sure as hell that I won’t be spell bounded by the book’s charm. Why? Coz Twilight is just another high-school romance novel except that the male protagonist is a vampire who falls in love with a clumsy, accident-prone human girl. But damn, Stephanie Mayer is one hell of an author who knows what lines to say, when to say it and somehow I find myself wishing I was the lucky Bella Swan. I can’t help but fall in love with Edward.

Not long ago, I read somewhere about ‘The Vampire Diaries’ gaining positive feedback from viewers. It’s a weekly series in some cable channel which I didn’t pay much attention to, until I went home for a holiday and heard my friend talking about it. The next thing I knew I was watching it on DVD compilation. The first episode didn’t seem compelling (as always) but as the story progressed, I wandered through the mysterious, baffling fold of events and I’m hooked.

The story revolves around Elena, the subject of the vampire brothers’ affection. Stefan is a 145-year old, good vampire who feeds on animal blood (just like Edward) while his older brother, Damon , who is, obviously the opposite of good, feeds on human blood. Their rivalry sprang from the year 1864 when they both fell in love to Katherine, who was a dead ringer for Elena. Needless to say, Elena and Stefan fell in love leaving Damon the history-repeats-itself kind of feeling. Later in the series I found out that Katherine was a vampire and the one who turned Stefan and Damon. The story has lots of complex characters and settles on the history of Mystic Falls (the name of their town), which literally had a bunch of mystifying facts and events looming around. There was also an unlikely participation of witches, and my hunch silently whisper there’ll be werewolves too since I learned from Twilight and any other blood-sucker movies that werewolves and vampires are a package deal. Well, that remains to be seen. I’m still halfway through the first season and I’m bugging my friend to lend me her copy coz mine’s not complete. See how desperate I can get.

One thing I like about Vampire Diaries is it keeps you edgy on your seat. Surprises you with new revelations and new characters that add  more mystery  and bemusement to the supposed simple plot of the story. And I love Elena's character. She is rational, pleasant, responsible and sensible young lady. Though she loved Stefan, she never let her feelings went pass through her when she found out the scary truth about Stefan, which is very much the opposite of Bella Swan - rebellious, judgmental, unreasonable and selfish. But hey, love conquers all. No matter how she try to drive Stefan away, she's falling harder for him.

So what’s with vampires that make us fascinated by their legend? Are they for reel or real? Could they be out there hiding for hundred years? Is there such thing as immortality? Could someone be invincible and fast as a speeding bullet? These questions often pose speculation on my part each and every time I’m immersed into the world of vampirism. For one, I want to be an immortal. I want to be in this world forever. I want to stop aging and overrule human frailty and vulnerability. I want to be faster than the fastest racing car (it could save me a lot of time and money haha!). I want to be indesctructible. I want to use that mind-compelling spell to anyone I want to charm. And above all, I wonder what human blood taste like. Yuck!!!

That's what I get for going gaga over these vampire tales.

Marley made me cry

Last Saturday night, I finally get to watch Marley and Me. I was suppose to watch it on big screen but forgot when it hit the theaters. Luckily, a friend had a dvd so she lent me a copy.




Marley and Me is a story about a couple (Jennifer Aniston & Owen Wilson) who decided to have a dog first before starting their own family. They named the cute little pup after the famous raggae singer's lastname. Yeah, you got it right, Marley as in Bob Marley. Marley is such a darling, adorable, probably the cutest dog around the neighborhood. But beneath the lovable, endearing makeup of Marley lies the world's worst dog. Yep, he's such an unruly, disobedient, naughty, overly active and playful dog. He likes to run around, gag anything into his mouth, chew everything chewable, pee and poo in public places. He's done every annoying and humiliating things when he was enrolled in an obedient school for dogs. He didn't last for one day there, no...make it : the instructress couldn't last a day with Marley haha! The movie was funny and heart-warming. When everyone else couldn't put up and stand with Marley, his masters loved him with all their hearts. Awwww...aren't we dog lovers like that? Doesn't matter how pain in the ass our beloved dogs are, we still love them unconditionally just as they love us.





Now the dreaded and inevitable part comes in. Marley grows old and becomes weak. He's no longer the vigorous, dynamic, cheerful dog he used to be. He likes to stay alone and stays in cold places. And it makes me start to cry. I remember my ever first dog Tootskie, the most brilliant dog I've ever had (brilliant coz she thinks and understands like human does). We had her for more than 12 years. I noticed when her time was coming, she tends to stay away from us. She likes to lie down on the ground or wherever it's cold. And Marley is very much like that on the movie. I've come to understand that maybe dogs knew when they're about to bid farewell. They detach themselves so it won't be too painful when they're gone. When Marley was on his deathbed my tears won't just stop flowing. I don't care if my roomates will laugh at me for being so silly crying over some dog movie. It was heart-wrenching when Marley died that I didn't stop crying. Know what? I'll tell you something, I've had almost ten dogs in my lifetime and I always cry everytime one of them dies. See how a dog person I am?



I really don't know why I get so emotional when it comes to dogs. Getting me to cry is like getting a blood from a stone but this movie really made me cry. And I didn't get over it so easily as I was still crying when I went to bed and before my eyes shut off. Damn! It's a nice movie. It will make you love your dog more and appreciate them even more. But if you're turned into a cry-baby each time you watch a movie where a dog dies in the end, nah, skip this one. But if you're a foolish, sentimental masochist then go on. You will learn a lot from this film. It teaches you that dogs are family too. And I hope every person will come to realize that as I'm saddened by the fact that dog cruelty is still rampant these days. They are man's bestfriend. They love their masters unconditionally and does not expect anything in return. They're truly one of a kind.

Big Lie at the Big Night

February 13, 2010 : The much awaited Big Night of the PBB Double Up. After 4 months of being a faithful follower of this reality show, here I am anxiously sitting on the living room, knees prop up, eyes glued on the boob tube, waiting for the big event to unfold. Early on I have consumed all efforts to save my bet, my one and only big winner - nope, not the MELASON tandem, but Paul Jake Castillo. Yes! I'm declaring this and it's official, I'm one of his huge supporters.

I was actually planning to join the rest of the Pauljakers at Cebu City Hall right infront of Magellan's cross for the live point. But I figured there'll be throngs of peopele so I backed off at the last minute and conveniently stayed at home. Having been watched almost all of PBB's finale, I knew it would be long before midnight when the winner will be finally announced. Good thing there were only a few production numbers so the results were up at 10:30PM.

First they announced the fifth big placer. I knew it's gonna be Tibo but I'm silently praying Johan's name will be called. I noticed PJ seemed to be preparing to stand up. Does he seriously think he got the least votes among the big five? C'mon PJ, if you only knew how your supporters fought and spent those hard-earned money just to get you to the top spot.

Then came the announcement for the fourth big placer. Not a single doubt in my mind that it's gonna be Johan, and yes, there he goes. Now it's only between Jason, PJ and Melai. I'm nervous, sweating, edgy on my seat like I'm testifying for a sensational court trial. If this is gonna be the worst night as in PJ comes out as third placer, I'm sure as hell that I'm gonna put a bullet on their head. Oh I'm just kidding. I'm no bloody criminal and I don't wanna be on trial contrary to what I said earlier. And they're prolonging my agony. Gosh why do they have to do this??? And... yes! Jason got the third place yeehhheeeyyy!!! I jumped off my seat like some lunatic idiot. Prior to that, I'm seriously thinking about rallying my sentiments if ABS had deliberately manipulated the result.

So it's now down to PJ and Melai. Though I have expected this scene, the jittery feeling is getting worse. Somewhere deep in my recesses knew that Melai will get away with the title but a part of me is still hoping that God will hear my silent prayer. Dear Lord just let it be PJ and I can go peacefully in my slumber. Hearing the result I couldn't be more upset, disappointed and disheartened. Melai indeed won the title. She's the big winner. And my PJ (my??? where did it come from?) was second to her. For a moment I couldn't move, my sight went pass to the television screen, I slumped to my seat feeling weak.

I was in denial. I absolutely can't believe it's happening. When Paul Jake walked through the stage charming as ever donning his killer smile, receiving the huge check, hugging his parents and his girlfriend, thanking his supporters, I couldn't care less. He looked soooo happy and contented. Guess I should learn to accept it and be happy as well. He may not have won the title but he won the hearts of the many who were inspired by him, moved by his passion and unyielding determination. After all, what matters is how you perceive that person when he showcased himself inside the house... and that makes him my one true BIG WINNER.

To PJ, I know you won't be able to read this post. We haven't met (though we're treading on the same ground), you don't know me and I don't know you personally too, but you served as my inspiration. To see you in flesh is probably the most outrageous wish I've ever made.

To the Pauljakers, I've said this already and I'm saying it again, it's a well-fought battle and like the rest of you, I'm proud of PJC!
